FormulaU Ceramic is part of MrCAP's own paintwork system, in which the protective product, preparation and method are designed to work together. We use it with an established MrCAP workflow and thorough clear-coat preparation.

FormulaU durability has been assessed under laboratory conditions
In an independent RISE laboratory test, FormulaU Car Paint Protection remained active through 14 wash cycles. According to the laboratory comparison, one cycle represented approximately 13 conventional hand washes — about 182 in total. Testing stopped after 14 cycles, with FormulaU protection still active.

Before applying FormulaU Ceramic, we thoroughly clean and prepare the paintwork. Every car undergoes deoxidation and clear-coat correction according to its condition — including brand-new cars. The actual clear-coat condition determines the work. We aim for the best possible, even foundation before applying ceramic protection, while keeping the process safe and appropriate.

Protection from the start
Even new paintwork is thoroughly prepared before protection. Where needed, we correct marks from transport, dealership handling or early use, bringing the clear coat to the best appropriate condition before applying FormulaU Ceramic.
Used car
Refresh the paintwork before protection
For a used car, we remove oxidation, wash marks and other clear-coat defects to the extent sensible and safe for that paintwork. We then complete the treatment with FormulaU Ceramic protection.

How does the FormulaU paintwork treatment work?
Surface preparation
We begin with thorough washing and paintwork cleaning, removing dirt, contamination and bonded residues to provide a clean foundation for the next stages.
Deep cleaning and deoxidation
We clean the paintwork more deeply, removing oxidation and contaminants that a regular wash cannot remove.
Clear-coat correction
We correct the clear coat according to its actual condition to restore an even, cared-for surface before protection.
FormulaU Ceramic protection
We apply FormulaU Ceramic to the prepared, corrected clear coat and complete the paintwork treatment according to the MrCAP process.
